We know that electrical safety is a major concern. Stringent testing and design specifications have earned our manufacturing site the safety assurances of Underwriters Laboratories (UL). All of our UL listed products proudly bear the distinct UL label, assuring you and your family the safest electrical product available. And all of our products are tested to the same stringent UL standards prior to being packed and shipped with care.
UL is the trusted source across the globe for product compliance. Benefiting a range of customers - from manufacturers and retailers to consumers and regulating bodies - They've tested products for public safety for more than a century.
In order to be UL Listed, manufacturers must agree to periodic inspections of their wiring and manufacturing procedures. A "field inspector" will visit the manufacturing facility and sample the work being done there. He/She will examine the quality and procedures being used for product compliance. This inspection provides the consumer the assurance of safety and quality from a third, objective, party (UL).
As you may or may not know, lighting fixtures MUST bear the UL label (or Listing) to be considered "legal" for installation in any new construction home. In part, this label simply indicates to the local city or county home Inspector that the fixture in question has been rewired to the STRINGENT UL STANDARDS of SAFETY. Without this label, your new construction or remodelling project may not pass it's inspection.
I have an antique fixture that I want to use in my new or remodelled home, can it be "UL LISTED"?
YES it can!
You'll need to have it completely rewired, tested, and labeled according to UL standards by Palm Beach Lighting.
